Filiming Location/Railroad?

The train that Danny Kaye rides to work is lettered for the Pennsylvania Railroad, and it appears to terminate at Penn Station. The cars also look like actual PRR equipment, but they're painted Pullman Green, rather than the Tuscan red normally used by the Pennsy.

Anybody know if this was a gaffe, or was there some other reason?
