Truly great exchange!

When the doctor was about to give the lady of the house a shot he noticed Joyce Compton was leaning over him, he asked, "Are you a nurse?" She answered, "No, I'm just excited." Awesome, just awesome.

i must agree, the script was pretty clever.

Yeah it was awkward with Indigo... you can't really call him a midget or dwarf, surely that's offensive? But everyone was calling him that so.....

Angelo Rossitto is awesome though- it's always nice seeing him pop up in these kind of films, and even in some in the 60s in tiny bit parts.

"Of course it's me, who were you expecting?"

reply

Sorry, but the actual dialogue is:

"Are you nervous Miss Cornell?"

"No, I think it's very exciting."

Someone needed to turn up their hearing aid.

Yes, the OP is guilty of attempting to convince people that the script is actually cleverer and wittier than it actually is. Folks when it comes to screenwriting this baby is the lowest common denominator.🐭

reply

I don't even understand the OP's comment from being a nurse to saying she's just excited? How does it even work the way he stated it?

I really must have disliked this, and now I MUST see it again.

reply

The way he's framed it, makes it seem as if it's kind of "Flying High" type, quick fire, repartee humour, when frankly, as the other poster has indicated, the script is just not that clever.🐭
