Similarities...

I hadn't seen this remarkable film since I was around 7 years old(early 1950's). And it was even more enjoyable as I watched it today.

But I'm struck by it's likeness to several other faves:
-- "The Village" and
-- "The Bridge To Terebithia"

Anyone else see this or others?
