SPOILER ALERT...........Mrs. Graham's Suicide

I am formerly known as HillieBoliday......Member since May 2006:

SPOILER....................SPOILER...................SPOILER!

If Mrs. Graham did commit suicide, then why that last shot of the rock in the water in the weeds just below the dock during the crime scene investigation; and just after questioning Mr. Graham? Is it there to indicate that she did kill Mrs. Graham....or that Mrs. Graham did indeed hit her head when falling into the water?

Also, during her fantasy black out....she confesses to Carol that she killed Mrs. Graham. Did she in actuallity kill Mrs. Graham....or was her mind so confused at this point that she thinks killed her?

Louise did not kill her. Dean Graham tells her that he was the one who took his wife down to the lake. This is supported by the fact that Dean is devoted to Louise until the very end, which wouldn't be the case if her "confession" were true.

OK...so Mr. Graham takes his wife down to the lake. Did he turn his back for awhile which gave her the opportunity to kill herself?

He said he went back to the house for a while and found her dead when he returned. Neither the audience nor Dean Graham know for sure how exactly she died and whether it was an accident or suicide.

I have seen this particular film during my 67 years on the face of this earth so many times...that I have lost count. Now just because I have a valid question or opinion about a certain scene/aspect of this movie; or because I want to initiate intelligent dialogue about a possible theory (IMO) within the context of the film.....does not mean I am not paying attention to the movie.

That would have been a much better reply to my first post -- no obscenities, no name-calling, no threats, no caps, no exclamation points...

Perhaps you should talk to someone about your anger issues.

I'm not sure why you'd write "SPOILER ALERT" in the thread title and then name the spoiler in the same thread title.

I don't need to read your ridiculous wrath, so save it. Just know that a "spoiler" is supposed to be hidden, preferably in a spoiler tag.

You're not sure because you weren't smart enough to deduct that maybe it was an oversight on my part and I just simply made a mistake by writing 'spoiler alert' and then named the spoiler in the thread title!!

I don't need a PERFECT FOOL like you to explain to me what a spoiler is. If you want to properly correct me, that's fine! But when you do it you need to use some modicom of respect!

I'm not giving you my wrath because I think you need to read it; I'm giving it to you because your arrogant, disrespectful, condescending, ARSE.....DESERVES IT!!!

If it was an oversight, why haven't you fixed it? That just proves it wasn't an oversight. You're clueless, disrespectful, and it was deliberate. For someone who has been a member for 10 years, you're a little slow on the uptake.

Clearly you do, and if you believe that user to be a fool, it doesn't say much for you. As pointed out, your spoiler is still there and you simply don't care how many people you've ruined the movie for, by giving away that plot point. Oh, and as another poster pointed out, you truly do need to learn how to pay attention. You nee way too much assistance comprehending a movie. Clearly you don't have the intellect to understand what's transpiring on screen.

You want respect? Earn it. It's not a privilege, and after your idiocy in this thread you don't deserve one ounce of respect.
