The term Cinema
John Lund met Pearl when he was a barker and said, "well, well, the great lady of the cinema." Anyone know when and why this term was first used in regards to motion pics?
sharewell still pictures were called photographs so moving pictures got the name cinematographs. cinema comes from the greek word kinesis meaning 'movement'
