Favorite scene

First post for this movie... I think it's GREAT! One of my favorites.

My favorite moment in the movie was when they were in the hot air balloon and heard all of the "heavenly" singing. Pearl said "We sure are goin' up" and Mike said "Those are human voices! We're going down, we're going down."

Arthur (1981)
Susan: Arthur, take my hand.
Arthur: But that would only leave you with one!

when Pearl was told that it was a lion she kicked, she replied, "I thought it was a dog."

When Pauline's mending/tending to/ironing the various dancers' costumes, holds up a pair of hose to a dancer and exclaims, "One more toot and your oot!"

This movie has been one of my favorites for years. I wish I could have told Ms. Hutton how much laughter it brought to my life.

My favorite scene is in the beginning where Pearl sings the sewing machine song which is an actual song of that day. The sweatshop conditions look very much like those that led to the real life tragedy of the Triangle Shirtwaist fire at that same time period.

This is indeed a great part of this entertaining film. Then again, any film with Hutton is worthwhile for me.

FYI - Arthur replied "But that would leave you with only one."

He was great.

Oddly it's when she breaks up with Mike towards the end. I got all choked up. She's got nerves of steel.
