The Cashier and Murphy's Fate

Movie girl: One surprising element of this superb film is the identity of the cashier, which is enshrouded into oblivion. We never learn his identity or whether he left behind a wife and children.

Johnny McQueen is our key person throughout the film.

Also, Murphy fears going to Teresa's, which turns out to be a wise move. She ultimately calls the police in a bid to receive the reward money. So Pat and Nolan go to Teresa's for a drink and to rest, Their fears upon learning that the police were summoned by Teresa emboldens them to attack with their guns. One has to wonder about the fate of Murphy. We do know that Dennis, the co-head of the Organization is now the chief. He boards a tram car to escape, but is eventually dragged to the police station.
