Finally, a movie that makes Plan 9 From Outer Space look like Citizen Kane!

It's a B movie, at times over dramatic.

But I'm old enough to remember when severe epileptics were treated as freaks. People were actually afraid of them. It was not unusual at all for someone with severe epilepsy to consider suicide.

Growing up I had a close friend with epilepsy. It was a years-long struggle to get it under control, and that was with medicines discovered after this movie was made. But I can understand why someone born in the '60s or later wonders what all the fuss over epilepsy was in the movie.

So while it's hardly a dramatic masterpiece, I found the movie very enjoyable. Regan's acting and the script actually did a decent portrayal of a scientist, not at all in the realm of camp that you found in most '40s or '50s movie depictions of scientists.
