A "Different " Betty Grable.

I have never been a Betty Grable fan but I have watched a lot of her movies because I am a fan of Alice Faye, John Payne, Charlotte Greenwood, and Carmen Miranda, her frequent co-stars.I have seen this film twice and enjoyed it (including Betty Grable's performance)both times and I could not put my finger what was "different" about her. Then I read the trivia said that she was pregnant during filming and that she considered it her favorite film. So, mystery solved. She was happy and it showed. I also believe that it may be the only time she played a mother and it brought out a warmth that I had never seen in her before.
