Mitchum Or Stewart Granger Would Have Been Better Than Peck

The casting of Peck is a bit off. He doesn't seem the type to have taken up big game hunting as a way of life. Granger seemed like the sort of macho Brit who was born to live in Africa. If you've seen Mitchum in "Home From The Hill" he looks like he belongs with a rifle in his hand surrounded by mounted animal trophies on his wall.

I agree. Peck was totally miscast in this movie. Mitchum or Lancaster, two of my very favorites, would have been much better.

I love Robert Preston, but he will always be the Music Man for me.

Joan Bennett was fabulous. An interesting movie, wish I knew why they cast Gregory Peck.
