GM's last 'Wolf' !!!

What a shame they didn't continue the Lone Wolf series with Gerald Mohr. He had such a good personality and plenty of charisma. I think after his plastic surgery (nose), he became so much handsomer. He had the greatest voice because he was a radio performer (Philip Marlowe, detective). Tall, slender and full of magnetism was Gerald Mohr.

I like Warren William as the Wolf. Like Gerald but not in this role.

You are so right. Just saw this film again and realized after all this time that Warren William owned this role.

Also saw it just now on TCM, and was appalled at how incomprehensibly awful it was! This series should have died with Warren William. Eric Blore does his broad best, but his scenes were terribly written, as was the entire film. I can only surmised that Columbia Pictures, not that far removed from its "Poverty Row" origins, owned the rights to the "Lone Wolf" character for two more movies, and tried to trade of the minor successes of the series.

This was an embarrassment all the way around!
