The Mother's Gorgeous Outfit!

When Ann Harding enters the picture as the estranged wife of Michael O'Connor...her outfit is so fabulous! That hat...what a fantastic fashion statement! The basic black dress, complimented with the exquisite diamonds and mink stole (sorry.... animal rights activists)...she was the perfect picture of rich elegance!

I remember how men just didn't understand during that era, and probably still today; that our hats were an individual artistic expression. That's why some of them were so quirky in style. The more different your hat in creation and execution....the bigger your individual statement.

On my bucket list is a desire to go to the Kentucky Derby (because I love horses); and wear the biggest, baddest, fashionable hat I can find!
