Written by JP or Jack?

The style of this film seems more like Jack McGowan, who wrote Babes in Arms and Little Nellie Kelly. J.P. McGowan was credited at times with The Stork Club, which is definitely the lightweight Jack's. McGowan favored melodrama and adventure, often played the heavy himself. J.P. was indeed familiarly known as Jack, and did have the odd credit as Jack from decades earlier. Does anyone have a copy to see just what the writing credit actually reads on the screen?
