You've got to love her. She plays such a cool beotch.

Just be truthful and if you can fake that you've got it made. ;)

And considering she was, what?, 24 years old at the time, plsying someone much older ... she really was under-rated as an actress. GREAT woman.

Agreed, she is under-rated. And she was so pretty too.

She was great in this role, and you could see, even then, what would make her so effective in "The Manchurian Candidate".

mckee-4; Ms. Lansbury was amazingly convincing as a middle aged Wife, particularly since she was only 22 at the time. Never noticed before, but she had great legs.

Angela Lansbury was probably an awesome cast for this part as she seemed to have that awful "Murder She Wrote" egotistical attitude even at 22. So glad she didn't get the part of Effie like she wanted as it would have destroyed the characters innocence that Leigh did an awesome job in the role.

Just guessing that this film had a lot of cut left on the floor as it is ver choppy at points as it seems as if a lot of connective scenes were cut.

Way too much office jibberish for my liking. 1/2 those scenes about cutting him could have been left on the floor for this director and producer. :-)
