where can I see this?

I'm dying to see this film as I'm a huge fan of Oscar Wilde and it looks excellent, but it doesn't appear to be on dvd or video. Any suggestions?

This film was shown this past Saturday on Turner Classic Movies. The print was gorgeous. It is almost never shown but it is avalable on VHS from Nostalgia Family Video of Baker City, Oregon. They have a Website and you can order online or via a tollfree phone number. I purchased it from them last year and though the quality is otherwise good, the color is mediocre. I recorded the showing on TCM and it's such a vast improvement that I doubt that I will ever look at the Nostalgia Family Video tape again.

Yeah - twas recently on TCM in a restored technicolor. That color is shocking! The shocking color and the wonderful plot from Wilde combine to make this one of the best movies out there ... by far.

Is it ever showed on TCM in England? =[ I soo want to see this as im a huge fan of P.G and the 1999 remake is on t.v right now and im sat here thinking the original was probably better(as always). and the way people talk about the colour being soo vibrant, makes it sound better!

Sorry but I have no clue how to find it. TCM seems to pull these things from under their bed or something. Its been so long since I left that review that I don't even remember the movie. It must have been good because I don't rave about things like that often.

I live in the States, but I bought a copy on DVD from Amazon.uk. I have a DVD player that can play all regions. It is a wonderful print !

Although it is not listed on Amazon, a Region 1 DVD does exist. I've just ordered it from my library, which lists it as

An ideal husband [videorecording] / produced and directed by Alexander Korda
IMPRINT: [Lexington, KY : Amazon.com, 2012]

so I don't know why Amazon doesn't show it. Hoping it's a good copy. I'll report on it after I watch it.

I saw it on youtube.
