I'm a bit confused about the makeup that June Haver's character has on when she's wearing the black wig. What was that meant to represent?
shareIf it's the scene I have in mind, it could be a nod to blackface makeup that might have been associated with performers of that song ("Good Bye, My Lady Love") in its early days. I can't think of another reason.
