What power station in the backdrop?...

Can anyone tell where the street scene with the power station was filmed? It is a 2 chimney powers station but could it still be Battersea?

I can't remember the two Gladys (Not contradicting you, must dig out my copy!) it's just that I know they must've used plenty of different locations. One thing for me was certain. At the south side of the old Blackfriars railway bridge, there is a 'modern' pub called 'The Founders' - taken its name from the foundry that was formerly on that site for the casting of the bells for St. Paul's Cathedral (on the opposite side). It was here there were bombed-out warehouses and I was quite excited to see the pub was built where the boys were. I know the old power station just here was the bankside power station (Now reinvented as he Tate Gallery, Bankside). But this has ONE chimney - but like I say, they used plenty of locations along the Thames.

Yes, it is Battersea. The additional chimneys were not completed until later.
