Ava bra-less???

I just watched this movie. Unfortunately, my VCR is broken, so I couldn't tape. Did anybody notice that it looked like Ava Gardner was not wearing anything (i.e. a bra) under her lacy evening dress on that evening she cooked for Clark Gable?? I would think this would NEVER have passed the board, but it definitely looks like it, the shape(s) and also the ... mmm... how to put it... the rather dark, round areas in the middle, where the little babies get their milk... ;-)

It's not that Ava would need to be this 'open' to make me a bit dizzy in my head (it always happens...), I would just like to have a second opinion, because I honestly can't believe this would've flown back in the bad ole days of the Hays Code.

Thanks for letting me ramble and hopefully any help you can provide. Have mercy on me, I'm still under the influence... ah... impression of a very seductive Ava Gardner. (Some women were just born too early...)

If you still care. It definately didn't look that way to me. Though I must admit I wasn't staring too closely at her chest.

Hannah: There are worse things than chastity, Mr. Shannon.
Shannon: Yes: lunacy and death.

Yeah, you could definitely perceive her nipular regions.

I'm showing this to my movie group within the next three weeks and will definitely be watching to see if she's bra-less or not. LOL

Well sir, was there any reaction from your group on the film or the particular issue raised by this thread?

This has to be my favorite of Gable's post-war MGM films. Maybe that I worked in marketing/research for TV stations and networks has to do with it as I can see many people that I've known in the characters presented.
