...and I was immediately stricken by how much Gene Tierney (in MRS. MUIR) and Lana Turner (in GDS) looked alike! Probably just me, though.

I haven't seen The Ghost and Mrs. Muir. I'll watch it because of this thread . I just looked at the main page for that film and to me it looks like a young, bearded Larry Hagman in the photo, lol www.imdb.com/title/tt0039420

Gene Tierney has always seemed more vulnerable than Lana Turner. She has a much softer side to her, I think.

Miss Turner showed some true acting chops in Green Dolphin, though, you gotta admit -- including vulnerability.
