Mel Torme

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned him. OK his role was pretty small but noticeable. Or maybe that's because I'm such a big fan of his.

I wasn't aware this was on DVD, but I'll be watching out for it in future.

Mel Torme is my all time favorite singer and all round show buisness personality.

You, my friend, have excellent taste.

I love Mel Torme! I think he did a really great job in good news! I especially love his verse in "Lucky in Love," where he's got the ukelele. :)

I was stunned that Torme had so little to do in the film. One of the classic voices of American pop music was relegated to supporting a non-musical slug like Lawford. I didn't even glimpse Torme in the "Varsity Drag" number unless he was the drummer.
"May I bone your kipper, Mademoiselle?"

I read somewhere that he was on a tour or something when the Varsity Drag sequence was being filmed. Unfortunately, he doesn't appear in the number, as a result.
