Yeah, but that's _him_ not the character he was playing... I just find it so unattractive that he wasn't willing to openly fight for his girl-- and only did so in a passive-aggressive manner. Wow, Van Johnson too? He was so cute! Oh well. I'm sure the boys loved him!
