Saw this on Disney Channel in the 80s
I remember I saw this on the Disney Channel in the early 80s when the channel first came out.. I watched it EVERY time it was on. I'm 40 now, and it is still one of my favs of all time
shareYes, those were the days... back when the Disney Channel didn't cater to children and teens only... back when it wasn't afraid to be a little classy... back when it understood what "family entertainment" truly meant---and back when it was commercial-free. Sad fact is that it's not even the same channel anymore.
But, yes, a lot of classics were introduced to kids through that channel back then. I don't think kids today have any channel gutsy enough, or that believes in their attention-spans enough, to show a movie like this, sadly.
