Ward Bond

Despite some misgivings about the film itself, I loved Ward Bond's performance as El Gringo, which felt quite different from his usual performance. It seemed as if it was conceived and filmed in a manner right out of a German Expressionist film of the 1920's, and Bond was fully in sync with Ford's take on the character.
