'Is that music coming all the way from the United Ststes?'

So indicative of the time this movie was filmed. The tourist, played by Alan Napier (TV's Alfred to Adam West's Batman), blithely asks this question of the Mexicans he's joined for a meal. The assumption is that such a sophisticated thing as a symphony orchestra couldn't possibly exist in such a backward place as Mexico. "Yes, we poor, ignorant Mexicans actually do have a symphony. Isn't that amazing?"
