Title was wrong.


Love the movie, but I don't like the title because it had nothing at all to do with the story. Osborne said that it's original title was "Katie for Congress" but that's wrong too, only because it gives too much of the plot away.

I think it should have been something like "The Farm Girl" or something. The point was she was a plain woman with a relatively simple background.

Anyway, loved the movie but I just wish it was titled properly. lol!

I think the title is altogether appropriate. She was reared with the values instilled in her by her farmer father, and those values sustained her through the trials and tribulations all the way to the Congressional campaign. She confers with her father when the odds start going against her, and his wisdom moves her to remain firm and fight, if need be, to the bitter end. She was, indeed, "The Farmer's Daughter."
