music available?
This is a longshot, but: anyone know if the soundtrack, or at least a few of the tunes from this flick are available?
and.... WHY did they break up the band!
The Dorsey Brothers Band of the middle 1930's broke up over a disagreement in tempo. Tommy walked off the stage in the middle of a show. They both went on to became wildly successful big band leaders. They re-united in 1953 for a couple of years after the big band era of the 1940's passed . They died within a year of each other tragically young, Tommy at 51, and Jimmy at 53.
