Costumes
my god i love the costumes in this film.
i know the film itself doesn't rate up there with the greatest, but it's enjoyable, and i love the concept of it.
That's why I didn't rate it higher, in fact, because the concept itself was so filled with possibility and magic, but I think it spent too much time trying to show us how human this goddess had become temporarily, that it didn't let her be magical enough. There wasn't enough whimsy in this film, in other words.
About the most whimsy in the film come from the musical numbers, and those seemed fake.
But, it's definitely not as bad as people are making it out to be, I don't think. It's just not as good as it should be.
