Alternate ending of 'Dead Reckoning'

I've seen any alternate ending of this film where...

...after Lizbeth Scott shoots Bogart and the car they are in hits a tree there is a moment of simply black and then you see the parachute open with 'The End'.

It's a much better ending than the one currently.

I would miss the current ending. I have always found it extremely moving.

A dark ending like that with Rip (Bogart) presumed dead would make this a much more memorable movie.
