Almost Forgotten.

This quirky little movie is almost forgotten. It doesn't even play on the 'classic' channels. I hope it comes around soon, so people can see the tight performances by the three leads.

Not forgotten by me. Just saw Daisy Kenyon this am on AMC. It's about time they started showing these classics. I've seen this movie a few times and of course loved it. Love anything with Joan Crawford and of course loved Dana Andrews. He had such a confident air about him that I like in a man. I wish Joan's clothes were a bit more stylish to suit her age. I think she is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. I was a kid when these movies were made and saw them all in my neighborhood theatre. Also love Humoresque!!!!!!!!!

Bought the DVD and viewed 2 night. A most wonderful movie!

Yes, Dana Andrews, such a confident air and have quite a few movies in my collection of him. Always a favorite.

Joan Crawford. Loved her in Mildred Pierce. Some face to apply a warm hand too.

it's on Fox Movie Channel right now......

I think it's kinda funny that HoferPM wished Joan's clothes were more stylish. To my eye, the clothes in this film were a bit TOO stylish, if anything. The heavily-padded shoulders and incredibly full sleeves were downright distracting. I found myself watching Joan starting to walk home from the car accident, and wondering why she wasn't holding the fur coat closed, and thinking what an idiot she was to wear high-heeled open-sided shoes or sandals in the snow. Even if she thought she'd be in the car the whole time. Who dresses like that to sit alone in a cabin in the woods to THINK?

You saw it on AMC when AMC was still worth something.

Before commercial interruptions and their deciding to pass 1980s crap as "classics."

I won't even watch AMC. Haven't watched it in years.

I have only dim memories of it, but it is coming up on DVD with a couple of other rarities, Dangerous Crossing and Black Widow.

Just saw if on dvd and loved it. In the commentary, it was noted that this was an unusual role for Dana Andrews, in that he didn't get the girl!

Just finished this - it's fabulous. Interesting comment about Andrews though; he lost the girl in a couple of other films as well! Wasn't Henry Fonda just adorable in this?

Fonda had all the good lines. The film is not that strong as the story was just too weird and the cast lacked chemistry.
