What's so important about that card?


Surely I must have missed something, but I just don't know why Pinkie wants that card so badly.

I get that it's about leaving a trail to a certain time period for creating an alibi, but why can't the waitress see this card? I don't get it.

Apparently, he was afraid the waitress might find the card soon enough to remember that the guy who left it looked different from the dead chap it belonged to. Which, of course, is exactly what happened.
