Laury Palmer = Laura Palmer ~~ both dead blondes!

I just had to get that weird thought out of my brain though I doubt it will disappear when I hear that name again.

Was wondering that myself, wonder if Lynch was a fan of this film - even though we know whodunit before the search even starts, BTK IS, after all, a film about finding the killer of Laur(ie) Palmer.

As I'm watching this film here for the very first time on TCM
I wondered the same exact thing as you did Hugh_Jazzoal_00  .
I even went to this board to see
if anyone else made the
same connection as I did   .

I don't know for sure myself either but perhaps
it was an inspiration for TP ?
It wouldn't seem unheard of either  .

I guess now the TV Show " Twin Peaks " from 1990
will really be remembered to us fans
as the roundabout remake of the movie
" Born To Kill " from 1947 ? 

IMPO I think both are intriguing &
memorable storylines just the same   .
