interesting melodrama

I just recently caught this film by accident and quite enjoyed the unusual storyline. Not as clichéd as I thought it would be ...worth seeing. Racism, class-war greed, murder, and a tense courtroom scene.

I haven't actually seen the film yet but I've just been in the Courtroom that was used in this film. It is in Market Square in Stafford Town Centre in Staffordshire. The same Courtroom was also used in an Episode of Dangerfield in the 1990's

Thanks for letting us know about the courtroom location, SavoryB. From what I remember of the film, that court room was very eerie and atmospheric and I strongly suspected it was a studio set so I am surprised by your revelation.

I have searched for interior photos of the courtroom and can only presume that you were referring to The Historic Court Room at The Shire Hall Gallery, Market Square:

If this is indeed the same court room that was used in Blanche Fury then I am very surprised that the County Council doesn't even mention the name of the film in connection with the court room, particularly as it seems to be an attraction that is available for the public to visit. It could attract fans of the film to the Gallery.

Obviously Wootton Lodge in Staffordshire is more easily associated with Blanche Fury because it is actually mentioned on IMDb as the setting for Claire Hall. I believe this must be the same place here:
