Poor film, highly inaccurate

This film has probably the worst performance ever by Anthony Quinn. They changed the names of all of the real people because they refused to sign a release. The Chinese jockey was actually Irish in the true story. It's my understanding that all of the real people in this story who were alive when this film came out hated it, and were extremely angry at the filmmakers responsible for it.

Well, it was 1947, what do you want? It did handle some controversial
subjects quite well; prejudice against Indians and Chinese, for instance.
