I would like to know if the Chorale piece sung in the movie by The Mitchell Boychoir has a name or if it was composed on the spot for the movie (the scene where Grant and Young visit St. Timothy's to preview the rehearsal)

This was answered on another thread. The piece is "O Sing to God (Noel)" with words by Rev. B. Webb, to music by Charles Gounod, with an organ accompaniment arranged by Hugo Friedhofer. The boys sing it, and during the last verse an additional part for women's voices is added, the voices of angels joining in as Dudley directs the boys.
