Your favorite character?

Mine is Lem Forrester played by Forrest Tucker.
The scene in which he buys the dog from his friend Ezra, makes me laugh each time!
He had also a certain appeal there!

I find the entire Forrester family very bizarre and genuine, more interesting than the main characters.

Gregory Peck as Pa, he put on a strong performance as the kind and loving father.

I also enjoyed seeing Mr.Peck as Pa Baxter, I got the book from the local library so I can read it.

Lem is a wonderful character for laughs and I really like the innocent personality of Jody.

The film is very touching and heart warming.

Pa Baxter. Gregory Peck is one of the greatest actors who ever lived. Plus a wonderful human being.

Penny cause he is a very kind and loving father and I loved the father/son relationship between Penny and Jody, the Forrester scenes were also very fun to watch and their scenes did lighten up the tone of this movie

Gregory Peck's character seemed like a saint putting up with a family like that. His character was my favorite. Fodderwing was interesting and I also liked the store keeper. And of course the deer - or it looked like it was "the deers".
