Good looking. And she took damn good care of herself as she got older. Watching Ava Gardner in this movie and all I can think about is how sub standard the current crop of scrawny "movie star" actresses of today are. There just is no comparison!

I'm always amazed at how gorgeous Ava Gardner was.

If you look at her face, feature by feature, there is nothing great there, but everything fits together into an incredibly beautiful woman. Sexy, and most of all, so full of life.

I would say Gene Tierney is the most beautiful Hollywood movie star ever, with Ava a very close second.
