amusement park in Strangers On A Train from this earlier movie? Eerily reminiscent of the ending scene from Wanted For Murder IMHO.

shareI'd like to know the answer to your question also. I noticed a few other similarities to "Strangers": there are several train references, a merry-go-round, and a record store including a listening booth. More generally, there's also some Hitchcockian humor.
