NO REGRETS FOR OUR YOUTH will be released as part of a five-film set from Criterion's Eclipse series, POSTWAR KUROSAWA. Other titles: ONE WONDERFUL SUNDAY, SCANDAL, THE IDIOT, I LIVE IN FEAR. No release date as of this posting, though apparently the set will come out in January, 2008. Will update as needed.

Criterion's SRP for this set is $69.95, but all Criterion (and Eclipse) DVDs are always 35% off at DVD Planet -- almost always better than Amazon or other sites. This means it should retail there for about $45.47 -- barely $9 a film, which is a terrific buy, especially given their rarity.

I just checked their and a couple of other sites and no one as yet has the set even listed. But it is on the Criterion site, although for some inexplicable reason they never give a specific release date unless it's within the next week or two. But they haven't yet announced even the month for the release, which at some point they will. However, it is listed as the next set due in their Eclipse line.
But, I did see that DVD Planet has just this past week slightly changed their Criterion pricing -- now it's "up to 35% off", not a flat 35%, and some of Criterion's other upcoming DVDs are now listed at about $1 more than they would have been with the full 35% discount. Still definitely worth checking out, and on past experience I imagine that they'd still be the best site in terms of pricing, particularly on a set whose retail price is almost $70.
When I find a definite date (and prices) I'll post it on this site.

Well, I guess things could be worse for you. If we get a competent president in next year the US$ may again rise against the C$. But you have a nicer, quieter country, so I guess it's a trade-off.
