DVD Release?
Anyone know if Criterion, or anyone else for that matter, plans a DVD release of this movie?
I recently bought a Chinese release of this on DVD. It's from BoYing which is, unfortunately, a very poor label but they do have an amazing selection of otherwise unavailable films. The picture is pretty dire and the subtitles aren't good, but I enjoyed the film immensely and had no problem following it once I started to second-guess the bad grammar of the subs. Check out the link below, and check out the other films available. Most other releases are better quality than this one. I have bought many of the more obscure and unavailable films by Kurosawa, Ozu, Mizoguchi and others.
