To Each His Own II

I think they should make a new movie continuing the story of To Each His Own. Of course, this will never happen but it's a nice thought, isn't it? First, who can play the parts:

Jody Norris. To play the part of Jody, I'll select Meryl Streep. Meryl is only slightly too old to play the role. Jody was about 55 at the end of the movie. Meryl is 63 and playing the part of a 55 year old woman should be no problem.

Lord Desham. My choice for Lord Desham is too old - Sean Connery. How about Jeremy Irons. He's 65 and maybe could me made up to look younger.

Plot. My idea for the plot would not involve Gregory or his wife. Maybe there would be mention of them in the beginning of the movie. Of course, there would be a courtship and then a marriage between Lord Desham and Jody Norris. They seem to made for each other.

Remainder of Plot. I can't come with anything. They go to America? They become advisors to England's Prime Minister? Does anyone have any ideas?

If I were you, I'd check with my local water department, to find out what additives they're using. They're poisoning your mind.

Im 3yrs late with a reply..I just finished watching this movie on TCM today. I absolutely love this movie! !!!
It brings tears to my eyes every time I see the end.
I think Lord Desham and Jody Norris are perfect for each other. The chemistry is there. I don't see anything wrong with a remake.
I love the fact that Grisby found out that Ms. Norris was his birth mom, something you don't see in movies from
that era. As far as the plot , I don't know, however I think they (Desham and Norris)should stay there.. Mayb Grisby ;) and his wife can come live there.
