Acquanetta as Lea, had to be one of the sexiest actresses of this period.
Her figure is very statuesque, great legs and exotic,sexy looks. Her leopard skin tunics and capes are also very revealing and sensous.
The scene where she approaches a bound Tarzan with her sharp claw sceptor is extremely sexy and very nasty when you realize she intends to torture Tarzan by clawing at his muscular torso.
This film was much more daring and violent from the other RKOs.
Also Weissmuller's physique was at it's best for this challenge by the sexy but deadly Lea.
Love to hear from other Tarzan fans on this amazing scene and the sex appeal of Acquanetta.

Of course, the eroticism of that scene is that Tarzan in is bondage and helpless, with a very sexy woman approaching take the claw to his chest. And Tarzan is paralyzed to resist, perhaps by fear, or maybe something deeper at seeing the shapely Lea approaching to torture him.

Back then, the studios had to tap dance around the censors, but these days, no doubt, we would have seen Lea work over Tarzan with her claw.

Her exotic "appeal" was overt and powerful. Almost too hot to handle in the 1940's.
