The strong women in this film

Nobody seems to be around which is a shampe because this is indeed an interesting though flawed little film noit.

Anyway, after a second viewing, I am impressed by the portrayal of the women in this. Anthony Mann shows us Nora who is a brilliant scientist, the wicked schemer Arline, and female thug Jane Karaski. Each of the three is a strong, although not always nice, woman who takes fate into her own hands. Truly fascinating characters, while the men are only dull minor characters on the edges of the film.
