The only source I can find for a 1945 release is imdb.com/title/tt0038975/releaseinfo Every other page: RT, wikipedia, AFI, Allmovie, TCM, lists it as a very specific Feb. 7, 1946, except for IMDb. Can anyone provide a citation for the December 1945 date, claimed here?

It was released on 31 December, 1945 in just USA.
