Uncle Remus! Uncle Remus! *end-ish spoilers*

Okay, anyone else tear up when Johnny ran to the cabin shouting 'Uncle Remus! I found my laughing pla--'?

Yeah, it was semi-predictable, but it was still touching.

A real feel-good flick.

Yeah, it was very touching how much Johnny loved Uncle Remus. People say this movie is racist, but I really don't see how. I mean, Johnny was white, but he thought the world of Uncle Remus!!

reply

I might have been jealous of Johnny.

reply

Yea, some people are just ignorant and will use any excuse to drop the race card. It has gotten to the point that if there is black people in the film, it must be racist. But the sad part is that the people who are calling it racist are belittling their heritage and culture!

Racist? No. Fantasy? Certainly.

Just watched this with my students, and I think we all felt that way.

"What do you want me to do, draw a picture? Spell it out!"
