This film is NOT racist!

Disney should grow up.

It's a pretty nice early Disney Movie.

Unfortunately some earlier negative reviews seem to have stuck in the public mind heavily, and without actually having the possibility to see the movie themselves those arguments (which were proven false over and over again) keep getting repeated.

It is a disservice to keep this movie from the public as people are not given the possibility to form their own opinions on it.

I have only ever seen the Zippidy doo dah song,w hich I must say i think is enchanting. I can see nothing racist about a kind old black man telling stories to delighted children. but not having seen the whole film, perhaps there is somthing in it that is disturbing? i can't imagine what though.

Haven't you figured it out? That's the problem. That's why it's disliked because it shows people living together amicably and caring about each other during a time when that likely wasn't the case.
