Some of the IMDb reviews and msg posts think Nancy Guild looked like Lauren Bacall or even Ella Rains. I kept thinking she looked exactly as Veronica Lake would during an extended strike at the peroxide factory.

I tend to think that she resembled Ella Raines more than the others you mentioned.
shareWhen I caught Nancy recently in The Brasher Doubloon (1947), I no longer saw a strong resemblance to Veronica Lake. Or Ella Rains. She just looked like Nancy Guild. And that was looking good.
