What lead George Taylor to go to the storage box at bus terminal?

George Taylor had amnesia when he was discharged from the military. So, how did he remember to go pick up the briefcase left in a storage box before he went into the mititary service? What lead did he have to do that? I thought at that point in the movie he only had the Dear John letter.

I have returned the movie and appreciate any comments you have on this matter.

That question occurred to me too, when I watched the movie last night (and really enjoyed it). Although the movie did not show it, to me the most likely answer is that "George" found a claim check in his wallet and then went to see what the check would yield.

Oh, yeah! That's right. Thank you for pointing that out. Glad you enjoyed the film.

In the Lux Theater radio version of the movie, Taylor finds the the storage box ticket in his seabag. This is what is likely implied in the movie.

Thank you bluenova, I do recall he finding the ticket, I suppose I was thinking more in terms of the particular storage space, such as bus terminal or airport, etc. but again, it may have been written on the ticket the facility location and storage box number. Good movie.

This bothered me too, especially because the rest of the movie was so tightly plotted. It really looks like all we have is a chopped up print, perhaps shortened for television viewing. I cannot believe the director would have willingly cut that scene -- especially because it was included in the Lux Radio Theater version of the story.

Hello Catherine,
I watched the Netflix disk, which should have been the one for official mass distribution. I'll have to read more on it to find out if it was a mishap of the film script. It has been a while since I watched, perhaps I can order a disk from my local library, because I cancelled Netflix disk service, only streaming now. Just curious which service you use to find that type of movies? Regards
