I've heard from someone that shock was the first movie Marilyn played in. Can somebody confirm this??

Just reviewed film. Sorry no Marilyn to be found.

I'd remember if i saw her... i didn't... But I felt it was a very good "old Hollywood" production. I liked it.

Perhaps you are thinking of Marilyn Monroe in Don't Bother to Knock, where she played a babysitter at a hotel. While looking out of the window of the hotel room, she saw Richard Widmark in a room across the way.

She would have been 20 years old in 1946. Unless she played Mrs Cross, we didn’t see her either.

I see what you mean. From what I know about Marilyn Monroe, I don't think she was even in movies in 1946? Correct?

Actually, I think the confusion is with "The Shocking Miss Pilgrim" made the following year. Monroe has an uncredited role as a telephone operator in it. It is her film debut.

Good point about "The Shocking Miss Pilgrim," Marilyn's first film. I've watched "Shock" twice, and Marilyn's nowhere to be found.

Thanks rdoyle29 for " The Shocking Miss Pilgrim " movie recommendation here . I have never heard of or seen this movie before will be looking out for that one on cable soon . Thanks normajeane1926 also for your subject post .
