Any other films like this people would recomend?

I'm very much liking these types of films at the moment and wondered if there are any others which people wound recomend.

The other titles I would recommend come from the very studio that made this film. I like many of those B-grade films Universal made between the late 30's up until the late 40's. Here are some of my favorite titles:

Night Monster with Bela Lugosi
The Black Cat with Bela Lugosi and Basil Rathbone
The Mummy flicks without Boris Karloff (while I'm a huge Karloff fan, those B-grade Mummy flicks are a hoot.)

Hope that helps and enjoy...

Thank you very much, I will check these out.

The harder to find Universals can be found at yrkconnors.@gmail.com It had been many years since I'd seen THE CROSBY CASE, NIGHT KEY, or SECRET OF THE BLUE ROOM (and both of its remakes, THE MISSING GUEST and MURDER IN THE BLUE ROOM).

"Night Key" shouldn't be hard to find at all. I got it as part of the five-film "Boris Karloff Collection" on Universal Home Video. The other films in the box are "Tower of London," "The Climax" (Karloff's first film in color), "The Strange Door" and "The Black Castle."

Less than 10 mins in I said "----------- is gaslighting her."

Were the movies less cerebral 65-70 years ago, or am I just jaded?

"I Walked with a Zombie", The original Cat People series, "Isle of the Dead", "Werewolf of London" are a few worthwhile movies.

Also, The Bat (1959) with Vincent Price, and House on Haunted Hill (also 1959, also with Vincent Price).

Both of those are great fun. I revisit both frequently. Love Agnes Moorehead in The Bat.

The Mummy (1932) ~ This is not the walking-mummy type movie. It's beautifully done, with Karloff in a memorable role. To me, it's filmed beautifully.
The Beast with Five Fingers (1946)
The Undying Monster (1942)
The Body Snatcher (1945)
The Leopard Man (1943)
Mad Love (1935)

You also might enjoy this portmanteau (anthology in framework) film:
Dead of Night (1945)

"Werewolf of London" is very entertaining with terrific acting and an intriguing storyline.

i got this on a double feature with "the werewolf of london", by looking at the dvd cover you get no hint of this unless you read the small print where it says "she-wolf of london" at the bottom of the back cover, one of the weirdest dvd things i've seen, i imagine they would want to promote both movies to sell better, and surprisingly this was the superior of the two, the opening credits looks to be in less quality than the older movie, but this movie felt more british than the other, with many great female players bringing more impact to the story. bit of a spoiler here, what an unexpected shocker of an ending. did not see that coming.
