I would have thought that this movie would be full of postings calling this a beautiful, intelligent movie. Everybody I think goes though something like this in their own way.

They have to go follow their dream, go after what is right for them, what fufills their needs in ways that are not finacial or sexual.

I think it's a case of great theme, not so great execution. It IS a beautiful and intelligent movie, as you say, but it's also self-conscious, pompous, overblown and cold. And Tyrone Power was beautiful to look at but did not have the depth as an actor to carry off the role of a seeker.
